Research: Kensley completed her master’s degree with a microbe-host interactions project centered on the transcriptional regulation of Group B Streptococcus. Under the co-advisory of Dr. Steven Damo and Dr. Jennifer Gaddy, she characterized the role of Control of Virulence Regulator (CovR) in streptococcal metal homeostasis. Kensley is now further exploring the fields of infectious disease and immunology at Meharry Medical College in the PhD Program of Biomedical Sciences.
